IMM offers an annual programme of school visits for all levels of schooling. Visits focus on cutting edge biomedical themes and in interaction with IMM scientists.
Our scientists have also regular presence at schools, where they participate in activities designed with and to the school community.

IMM is a partner of the national agency Ciência Viva in the promotion of scientific literacy, participating in several initiatives.

Every year we host secondary school students at our research units to develop research interships in the Ciência Viva programme "Ocupação Científica no Verão".
