Rodent Facility The IMM's Rodent Facility provides both internal and external services for academia, pharma and biotech. This unit is highly committed to following the 3R's – Replacement, whenever possible, of the animal model by alternative methods, Reduction of the number of animals used and Refinement of experimental methodologies and animal care procedures. We therefore implement a conscious and responsible use of laboratory animals while producing high quality research. For this reason, the IMM's Rodent Facility promotes education and guidance for researchers and technicians, according to the Portuguese and international laws and recommendations for good practices and animal welfare.
