 Researchers Night Setting the stage The Researchers’ Night is an European initiative held annually in several European Union member states and intends to involve the scientific community in the construction of a more realistic image of the scientists, breaking down stereotypes and bridging the gap between researchers and the public. The 2010 edition was held on September 24 in Lisbon, Porto, Coimbra and Olhão. In Lisbon the initiative took place at Jardim Botânico Tropical de Belém with theater, stand up comedy, hands-on activities, speed dating with scientists, among other activities.
