Dear All,

As organizers of the XII Meeting of the Portuguese Society for Neuroscience, it is our great pleasure to welcome you at the Faculdade de Medicina de Lisboa. We hope that this Meeting will provide a unique forum that brings together the rapidly growing neuroscience community in Portugal.

There are about 250 participants and the different scientific sessions will cover various exciting and emerging fields of neuroscience, with an outstanding line up of speakers. There will be also 3 poster sessions and various social events. A Prize, consisting of a Travel Fellowship to the 2012 SFN Meeeting, will be awarded to the best poster.

We thank the support of SPN for establishing Travel Grant Fellowships that allowed us to attract several young Portuguese neuroscientists working abroad to the meeting.

We did our best to ensure that the XII SPN Meeting offers a stimulating and informative program, and enables networking opportunities among the participants during the social activities.

We count on all the participants to also contribute to make this an exciting and successful meeting!
